Head Coach

Jason Blanken 

• Head coach Jason Blanken brings more than 30 years of swimming/coaching experience to River Falls. Growing up in Silver Spring, MD, Jason swam for the Calverton Chargers from ages 5-18. He graduated from Paint Branch High School in 2003 where he was the captain of the swim team for two years. He went on to swim for the University of Maryland where he graduated in 2007 with a B.S. in Family Sciences and received his M.A. in Special Education from George Washington University in 2013. He is in his 5th year as a swim coach for ASA, working with the Advanced Seniors Group at Stone Ridge. He has also been the head varsity swim and dive coach at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School for the past 16 years. In 2022 Jason was inducted into the Paint Branch High School Athletic Hall of Fame and in 2023 was inducted into the MCSL Hall of Fame as the first swimmer/coach in league history. In the off-season Jason is a PE/Health teacher at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School. Jason can't wait to get back to work towards another successful season. Assistant Coaches

Emily Abramson 

• Coach Emily Abramson will return to River Falls for her third year. She began her swim journey on the River Falls Swim Team when she was 8 years old and continued swimming for the team until she graduated in 2021. Davis Moore

• Coach Davis Moore is returning for his third season with River Falls as an assistant coach. Davis swam for River Falls for thirteen summers and now swims Division I at Davidson College where he studies politics, philosophy, and economics. At Walt Whitman High School, Davis was team captain of the swim team and captain of the water polo club. He is looking forward to another great season of team spirit and competition with the Dolphins and is excited to work alongside a great coaching staff! Fletcher Brown

• Fletcher is starting his first year of coaching this year at River Falls. Fletcher swam at River Falls for 13 summers and now attends Miami University where he studies Accounting and Finance. Fletcher played lacrosse in high school and currently plays club lacrosse at Miami. He is excited for another great season at River Falls! If interested in lessons, contact Fletcher at 202-360-2538.

Chloe Murphy

• Coach Chloe Murphy began swimming for River Falls at five years old and has been a member for thirteen years. Chloe has also been swimming for ASA for twelve years, most recently in the Advanced Seniors Group. Chloe loves the River Falls traditions, energy, and spirit of the team that comes with being a Dolphin. Chloe is looking forward to her second year as an Assistant Coach. She has been giving swim lessons for the past four years and helped many Minnows prepare for their first race as a Dolphin! Chloe graduated from Walt Whitman High School this year and will be attending the University of Maryland in the fall. Chloe is excited for a great season!
