River Falls Swim Club - Home of the Dolphins
Swimming and diving with the River Falls Dolphins are great ways for kids to make friends at the pool, share a team-building experience, have fun and participate in a healthy activity over the summer. The River Falls swim team was established in 1973. The season is approximately 8 weeks long (Memorial Day through the last week in July) and team members participate in regular practice sessions, social events and competitive meets held on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings (swimming) or Sunday afternoons (diving). Children of active club members between the ages of 4 and 18 are highly encouraged to join the teams.
The River Falls Swim and Dive Teams are members of the Montgomery County Swim League (MCSL) and the Montgomery County Dive League (MCDL).
MCSL currently consists of 91 teams in 15 Divisions (A through O). Teams are placed in Divisions via a computerized “swim-off” at the end of the previous season. This year River Falls is in Division B, seeded 3rd (out of six teams). The other teams in our Division include Flower Valley, Mohican, Bethesda, Darnestown, and Glenwood.
MCDL currently consists of 25 teams in 5 divisions (1 through 5). Teams are placed in divisions based on a combination of points from dual meet wins (Division Rank Points) and total team score from the divisional meets (Divisional Championship Points). These determine the division team rankings with the top ranked team moving up a division and the lowest ranked team moving down. This year, River Falls is in Division 4 and ranked 3rd (out of 5 teams). The other teams in our Division include Mohican, Flower Valley, Country Glen and Westleigh.
